What is the burning pain in the lateral Left calf, extending to ankle?

It extends a little posteriorly and started about 3 days ago. It has gotten slightly worse each day, nothing gets rid of the pain. It also is hypersensitive to touch. My last MRI of my Lumbar spine was a couple years ago and showed mild degenerative disc disease in 1-2 of the levels. I have no back pain at this time. Another issue is I had a chair leg land on my outer foot proximal to the 5th toe, the person being 220 pounds sitting on the chair, the metatarsal area I believe, occured about 2 weeks ago. Initially bruised purple, then faded, now red blotchy areas remain and pain slightly worse, could this be a fracture or tendon injury??? Thank you for your attention to this.
