Have they stopped making holograms?

i don't mean like the little glittery ones you get on credit cards, i mean the amazing ones that were all the rage in the 80s where it actually looked like a 3D sculpture with an insane degree of depth. I remember an exhibition with a holographic telescope that looked totally 3D and if you lined your eye up with the eyepeice you could actually look through it and see another image! I haven't seen anything like it since...
