If it isn't good for my 4 month old to watch T.V., then how is it okay for her to watch Baby Einstein?

My daughter is absolutely enthralled with the visualizations which seem to have helped with her eye coordination (regardless of what people say that tv does to a child; my daughter can't just LISTEN to a cd, and be satisfied....She wants to SEE something !!! She constantly wants to watch lights and anything and everything that catches her eye.... How is it possible for me to keep her from wanting to watch baby shows on tv, if thats what REALLY helps her go to sleep and what she really likes?
