Serious question for other parents?

Maybe school is just hard for her. As long as she is trying her best just be proud and encouraging. Sounds to me like you are doing everything you can. Some kids just have a harder time. If you get too concerned you could speak with the counselor about a possible learning disability like dyslexia.
