Nair Warm Wax, Not doing it right?

I recently bought the new Nair warm wax kit, inside the box was the instructions, the tub and a wooden spatula stick, I followed the directions, I don't know if I did something wrong because the wax isn't hardening to the strip or getting hard at all. It's just staying sticky and making a mess. Any suggestions?
