I have a youtube beauty channel but....?

i'm reluctant to put up videos inc ase poeple at school find out, also, my parents don't know about it, how should i tell them i want a beauty channel? i dont have alot of hobbies but mostly im scared they'll say i cant have one or take the mick out of the fact i want to make videos. i'm 16 going on 17 in september so, i should be allowed to make my own decisions, shouldnt i?
